Surely it's raining in London today (wear an anorak) as the day of the photo. Now I'm going to Fitur (International Tourism Fair) in Madrid, my desire to travel is in the firing line and my last trip to London regained prominence in the post today. My Dr. Martens are perfect for walking around London. No matter if you're in the parks or city. They are comfortable and combinable with both pants and skirts or dresses. In dark or light colors. I chose my pajama silk shirt with balloons and a white jeans in addition to my vintage scarf, which is so warm. British Colours Outfit for London Museums

Red and blue. Today a British colours outfit for London Museum. Some Dr. Martens boots to bring the warm and comfortable feet, plus a fleece jacket and a cap. I love The British Museum in London. Nothing to do with the part dedicated to Egypt with what I saw in the Egyptian Museum in The Cairo and specifically in the gallery of Tutankhamun. Black & White for Allen Jones RA London

One thing you should do if you're in London is to visit the British Pop retrospective from artist Allen Jones. I chose a black & white look to enjoy his language inspired by American consumer culture and the crisp graphics of Warhol and Lichtenstein. Some people says he's a misogynist but I prefer to believe his art is a critic to the way woman are treated in occidental society: more than an object that as a subject. At the end of the post you'll find a Kate Moss picture that is part of the exhibition. Dates: 13th November 2014 to 25th January 2015. Casual Wear for Camden Town

Casual wear for Camden Town to move between so many people that walk along the market streets. Cold and rainy November isn't a problem so people, tourists and english people, meet there every Sunday to eat, buy or simply to watch. Time goes on quickly in London. 50th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe's death

¿Sabíais que este año hace 50 que murió Marilyn Monroe? Por ese motivo la Galería Getty Images ha organizado una exposición en Londres con sus mejores fotos y trajes más originales, además de objetos personales. Es la primera vez en la historia que se organiza algo así, con vestidos solo usados por ella, junto con fotografías únicas y representativas de su vida. Del 9 de marzo al 24 de mayo ¿Quién de vosotr@s irá?

The Sony World Photography Awards 2009/10 exhibition opened at Art Work Space at The Hempel Hotel, London from 20 to 29 January. 


The London stop is part of a global tour which has taken in leading photographic institutions in New York, Toronto, Mexico, Paris, Hong Kong, Berlin, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. Running until 29 January 2010, the exhibition showcases photographs by the winners and finalists of the 2009 Sony World Photography Awards, spanning a variety of genres including fashion, architecture, advertising, sport and music, from across the world. Included in this striking exhibition will be images from winning UK photographers Edgar Martins, Tamany Baker, Yannick Dixon, Dylan Collard, Dave Watts and Amiran White.

Os voy a contar lo que pasó el último día que estuvimos en England el verano pasado. NUNCA y digo NUNCA se os ocurra pisar con ruedas Londres de lunes a sábado. Porque aparte de que es una pesadilla, está prohibido y te multan -lo sé por experiencia-. La mayoría de los parkings son para holders (residentes) y los que no, son carísimos y no puedes usarlos más de dos horas.

Alucinando en Camden once and again

Lo de Londres es adictivo y lo de Camden preocupante. Es la 5º vez en mi vida que piso esta ciudad pero aún no dejo de sentir ese "gusanillo" mental de niña-chica-en-vísperas-de-Reyes. Domingo en Londres means visita obligada al máster de los mercadillos londinenses. Camden y sus interminables callejones repletos de sorpresas. Insólitos rincones que se reinventan a sí mismos, donde es posible encontrar lo inesperado a buen precio. Incluso las tiendas que hay antes de llegar al market en Camden High St exhiben precios más baratos que otras de igual firma en el resto del país. De allí nos metimos en un pub muy de barrio para tomar algo y descansar antes de coger el coche de alquiler para trasladarnos al Bankside Pier, donde asoma la Tate Gallery, junto a Millenium Bridge -donde al principio de la última peli de Harry Potter sale el puente destruido al ser blanco del ataque de los mortífagos a los muggles-. Y justo enfrente, la St. Paul Cathedral. Además, como era domingo pudimos conducir por la city sin pagar y cruzar puentes para grabar desde el coche: Trafalgar Square, la National Gallery, Picadilly Circus, Chinatown, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Westminster Houses of Parliament, London Eye -cuyo escenario va cambiando de color!. En fin, que terminamos agotados -unos más que otros-. Felizmente agotados...

Londoners Through a Lens

Following the success of "London Through a Lens" this new comeback show focuses on the people of London, from the film stars to the flower sellers.

"Londoners Through a Lens", that opens on Friday 14th August at the Getty Images Gallery, takes another look at the capital, but this time with the emphasis on its inhabitants, from the famous figures to the everyday people. Time Out Guides will once again be publishing a book to accompany the exhibition, which will go on sale 3rd September 2009.

The exhibition features a wide-ranging and multifaceted selection of photos from the past century, including a selection of rare images. All of the images in the collection were chosen from the Getty Images Hulton Archive and range from 1900-1990.

These stirring shots capture the spirit, personality and ever-evolving style of London's residents over the course of 90 years.

FAIR´S BOOK AND FLAMENCO

De exposición en exposición, saltando de una biografía a otra, de un mundo pasado a otro presente o viceversa...Reviviendo habitats nunca vividos por mi pero sellados en mis genes por el ADN de mis antepasados. Salir y entrar de mi mirada para visitar otras: la del autor, la de los artistas, la de los testigos de la historia, la de mi casta. Sentir la magia de pasar por puertas, pisar suelos y habitar estancias donde los orígenes de mi alma ya han estado. Con otros cuerpos, con otros sueños, con otros nombres y experiencias de vida.
