Fiesta de los Sombreros en el Museo del Traje

Cada 25 de noviembre se celebra el día de Santa Catalina, en honor a Santa Catalina de Alejandría, y la Fiesta de los Sombreros, este año en el Museo del Traje. Resulta que antiguamente las jóvenes celebraban este día adornando la imagen de la santa con un tocado. Las casaderas acudían a la cita con sombreros de colores, sobre todo verdes (que significa sabiduría) y amarillos (por la fe). En Francia aún se celebra esta fiesta que es muy importante y motivo de una actividad frenética entre la alta costura/talleres de sombrerería. Yo lo celebré con un tocado de Charo Iglesias, presidenta de la Asociación de Sombrereros de España, en el Museo del Traje, en la fiesta del sombrero organizada por dicha Asociación. ¿Os gusta mi tocado?

Every November 25th is the day of St. Catherine, in honor of St. Catherine of Alexandria, and the Feast of Hats, this year celebrated at the Museum of Costume. In the past, young celebrated this day adorning the image of the saint with a headdress. Single women came to the appointment with colorful hats, mostly green (meaning wisdom) and yellow (by faith). In France, this festival is very important and because of a hectic schedule between high fashion / workshops headgear is still celebrated. I celebrated with a headdress of Charo Iglesias, president of the Association of Hatters of Spain, in the Museum of Costume, party hat in organized by the Association. Do you like my headdress?
