Manuel Piña. Fashion Designer (1944-1994) is an exhibition of 72 pieces from this self-taught who played a key role in the revitalization of Spanish fashion. In the 70 noted for his knitwear and 80's for his creative talent with which he responded to the wishes of the Spanish woman, tilted to the ready-to-wear style. Piña is the designer who brought together the best of traditional craftsmanship and avant-garde design to light. The same that characterized the powerful and sensual "Woman Piña", star of the Movida Madrileña in the 90s. Now you can enjoy his work at the Museum of Costume in Madrid until 26th January 2014.
Manuel Piña. Diseñador de Moda (1944-1994) es una exposición de 72 piezas pertenecientes a este autodidacta de formación que desempeñó un papel clave en la revitalización de la moda española. En los años 70 destacó por sus prendas de punto y en los 80 por sus dotes creativas con las que respondió a los deseos de la mujer española, inclinada hacia un estilo prêt-à-porter. Piña es el diseñador que aunó lo mejor de la tradición y la artesanía para alumbrar un diseño vanguardista. El mismo que en los 90 caracterizó a la poderosa y sensual "mujer Piña", protagonista de la Movida Madrileña. Ahora puedes conocer su obra en el Museo del Traje de Madrid hasta el 26 de enero 2014.
