Lousã Mountain, Aldeias do Xisto

A jeep route by the Schist Villages of Lousã Mountain, Aldeias do Xisto, is an experience you can't miss if you go to Lousã, Portugal. When we were at Palácio da Lousã Boutique Hotel, we set aside a day to get into the mountains of Lousã guided by the tour company Trans Serrano Aventura, Lazer e Turismo. We were picked up early in the morning and driven into a jeep, leaving civilization behind, to climb to the Aldeias do Xisto, whose houses are built with slate. The first village we visited was Cerdeira which is developing the project of rehabilitation and symbiosis of art and nature 'Cerdeira Village'. We continue to Candal-Serra da Lousã, another village where we discover crafts and cuisine of the area. From there we went to eat at the restaurant Varanda do Casal to regain strength and continue the journey. To finish the day, we visited one of the river beaches in the area. Una ruta en todoterreno por las Aldeas de Pizarra de la Sierra de Lousã, Aldeias do Xisto, es una experiencia que no te puedes perder si pasas por Lousã, Portugal. Cuando estuvimos en Palácio da Lousã Boutique Hotel, apartamos una jornada para adentrarnos en las montañas de Lousã guiados por la empresa de turismo Trans Serrano-Aventura, Lazer e Turismo. Nos recogieron temprano y con un todoterreno fuimos dejando atrás la civilización para subir hacia las Aldeias do Xisto, cuyas casas están construidas con pizarra. La primera aldea que visitamos fue Cerdeira donde se está desarrollando el proyecto de rehabilitación y simbiosis de arte y naturaleza 'Cerdeira Village'. Seguimos hacia Candal-Serra da Lousã, otra aldea en la que descubrimos artesanía y gastronomía típica de la zona. De allí a comer al restaurante Varanda do Casal para reponer fuerzas y seguir con el recorrido. Para terminar la jornada visitamos una de las playas fluviales de la zona.
