BRIGHTON...

BRIGHTON... OR TO TAKE A WALK THROUGHT INDIA?

Would you say that I am in England or in India ...??? With this picture is difficult to guess, isn´t it? I am in Brighton, at the England's south-east, where Quadrophenia (1974) was rolled, movie about the 70´s mood culture were acted Sting, my favorite singer - has someone gone to one of the The Police's concerts? Let me know it please. I was in two of the singer´s concerts (Madrid and Granada) some years ago-.
Brighton is a city full of captivation from which I would distinguish the Royal Pavilion - an off-centre monarch caprice of-, the Brigton Pier - with its motley wood soil that looks like they were on the verge of expiring - and its typical neighborhood The Lanes - something like London Candemtown but with less people-.

In spite of the rain, our habitual companion of trip for British lands, we enjoy a day full of agreeable surprises. Visiting the Royal Pavilion is a gift for the eyes. Its promoter was Jorge V, king of England and eccentrically where they are. Attracted by the bohemian airs of this city-resort of the XVIIIth century, the profligate prince moved there. First in a little house closed to the sea that became not enought for the parties that he used to organize, later in a palace that he ordered to built to John Nash in 1815.

From there quite they were banquets, dances and weekends of total madness. If nice it is externally the building, within it is of movie: the lamp of the banketing room is an enormous dragoon from which it hangs an enormous spider of crystals; the long gallery has 49 figures of mandarins that move alone the head; and the kitchen ... or the ballroom ... no words to describe them. They do not allow to photograph interiors so I put these images from Internet in order that you do an idea to yourselves.

A curiosity. The decoration of the Palace was of Indian and Chinese inspiration though none of their interior decorators had been in these countries, but influenced by what travelers were counting - who knew India and China – interior decorators were launched to the ornamentation supreme decorative adventure of the Royal Pavilion. Death to the minimalismo and showiness to the power!, they should have been its maxims.

Then to the Victorian Pier of 1899 that is replete with rooms of game and attractions of fair - an act in bad taste, I dare to add, that takes from it all the romanticism that comes this structure that enters the sea-.

We ended in The Lanes neighborhood , where we enter a vegetarian fast food with natural juices, uuhhmmm... what a delight! I put the photo in case you want to try. That zone is replete with alternative shops, full of funnyfaces, and with antiques. This set of streets was the primitive city indeed. It is a pleasure to enter a coffee shop after the zone exploring and to contemplate the decanting of the street after the crystals.

Go on with "fashion office". A new dose before finishing.

- Bershka's vest, belt and trousers of Mango shop, Blanco's purse, bracelets of Bershka and New Look.
- Blanco's vests, Zara's trousers, World Wide Work's shoes of the Varanasí shop in Chipiona (Cadiz), Blanco's purse, Primark's ring and bracelet.
